John Whitaker victorious in Doha

In Doha, everyone is waiting for the Grand Prix of this evening, but in the meanwhile another 5* class was already ridden this afternoon. In this class, riders could collect precious points for the Longines Ranking. 40 combinations entered the show ring and 21 of them jumped a clear first round. A jump-off with 21 riders also had to decide about the winner.

In that jump-off, it was very exciting, but in the end it was the British rider John Whitaker who rode to victory with Argento (Arko II). This duo jumped a clear jump-off in 37,61 seconds.

The Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten ended on second place with VDL Groep Quatro (Quaprice Boimargot Quicy). They left the wood untouched and finished in 37,61 seconds. STX-rider Daniel Deusser ended on third place with Happiness van T Paradijs (Obourg). They jumped a clear jump-off in 37,86 seconds.

Daniel Bluman and Apardi (Corland) ended on fourth place. Fifth place was for Ludger Beerbaum and Chiara (Contender).
