Julien Epaillard flies to victory in Paris
It was the French riders that ruled today at the Longines Masters in Paris. This afternoon Olivier Guillon took an amazing win in the CSI2 * class against the clock. Julien Epaillard finished up the first day with a masterpiece of a victory in the CSI5* in front of his home crowdfor the home crowd.

Only three combinations stayed clear in todays five star competition in which winner Epaillard took a lead of almost 10 seconds. Aboard his 12-year Quatrin de la Roque LM (v. Quick Star) the Frenchman kept a clear in 63.45 seconds. Fellow countryman Simon Delestre and Sultan du Chateau (v. Kannan) followed in 72.53 seconds. Though he thus finishes miles behind Epaillard was still faster then as the number three, Denis Lynch and Ho Go to the Padenborre.

French rider Penelope Leprevost and her Vagabond La Pomme (v. Vigo Arsouilles D also produced a clear, but got one time fault and became fourth. In fifth place we saw Kara Chad from Canada with Gin Tonig v Hague Akkers (v. Labor VDL Indorado) had two time faults.
