Julien Epaillard makes it a double on the opening day in La Coruna

Julien Epaillard took home the NH Collection Trophy in La Coruna Friday riding Cristallo A LM (Casall x Corofino). The French combination won the class - a 1.50 class against the clock - by more than 2 seconds on runner-up Jack Towell from the US and Lucifer V (Lord Dezi x Grandeur). Number three was Pieter Devos and Dream of India Greenfield (Gem of India x Night and Day) representing Belgium.

Epaillard also won the final class of the opening day – the Azkar Trophy – riding Pigmalion du Rozel (by Le Toto de Semilly). The 1.45 class had 46 entered riders and 17 of them were clear and went through to the jump-off. Another ten riders produced a clear jump-off, but Epaillard was still able to win the class by more than a second down to Pieter Devos and Equipharma Dax van d’Abdijhoev (Desir du Chateau x Clinton). Henk van de Pol (NED) secured third place riding Spartacus TN (Stakkato x Grannus).
