Kent Farrington remains world number one show jumping rider
A new month is a new Longines Ranking. USA's Kent Farrington remains the unbeatable number one of the world. Farrington is the only rider to keep his position in the top five.

In August Farrington won the CSI5* Grand Prix in Valence with Gazelle. Earlier he jumped in the spotlights in Zandhoven. However Italy's Lorenzo de Luca is closing in on the USA show jumping rider. Last week De Luca placed fourth at the Brussels CSI5* Grand Prix. At the European Championships he performed magnificent and earlier inAugust won the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour GP in Valkenswaard with Ensor de Litrange.

 

McLain Ward is following De Luca as he switched his runner-up position for the third spot. Also Kevin Staut moves one spot down.  Two big jumpers in the top ten are Scott Brash and Harrie Smolders.

Great Britain's Brash turned his 10th place into a fifth spot. Brash won the London LGCT Grand Prix aboard Hello Forever. With his Silver EC medal Smolders turned his 16th place into spot number six and is followed by Christian Ahlmann.

Smolders' compatriot, Maikel van der Vleuten stays steady on rank eight and is now followed by the Aachen Rolex Grand Slam winner, Gregory Wathelet.
