Leopold Van Asten makes it a top win in  Brussels
Dutch rider Leopold van Asten and the 10-year-old mare VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) were not to be beat in Friday’s first five-star class at Brussels Stephex Masters, a 1.45m against the clock presented by Albam.

Van Asten was almost two seconds faster than Italy and Stephex Stables’ own Lorenzo De Luca, who had to settle for runner-up position together with Jeunesse van’t Paradijs (Emerald Van 'T Ruytershof x Heartbreaker) in this competition counting for the world ranking. A legend finished third; Great Britain’s John Whitaker with Crumley (Cassus x As Di Villagana). Ireland’s Darragh Kenny ended fourth aboard Go Easy de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles x For Pleasure), and Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann fifth on Cantinero (Cento x Cash).

ALEXANDRA CROWN AND BASIC BEST IN FRIDAY’S PRESTIGE LEAGUE


USA’s Alexandra Crown and Basic (Silverstone x Indoctro) returned to their winning ways on Friday when taking the top honours in the 1.25m Prestige League presented by TAO at Brussels Stephex Masters.

With a time of 33.58 seconds in this two phase special class, Crown beat Spain’s Susana Epaillard and Virgule d’Auge (Guarana Champeix x Unau du Fonteny) by over two seconds – leaving them to runner-up position. Then followed an avalanche of Belgian riders, with Nicolas Devloo-Delva in third, Sander Kenis in fourth and Louise Losfeld in fifth.
