The testing Oak Tree Grand Prix course from Marina Azevedo covered the entire Fairway Field Grand Prix arena, including two combinations and lovely long lines.
"I like the course, maybe it's a little tough for the green horses," said Azevedo of her work. "With the grass and the lighting you change the angles a bit, but overall it is good." The course allowed three horse-rider combinations into the jump-off: Lindsay Archer aboard Camerone, Alicia Foster and Zubliem and Susan Hutchison on Ziedento! The exclusive jump-off was an annotated course of tight turns and a race to the finish. Foster went first in the jump-off and put in a clear round with a tidy time. Archer marched in after Foster, commanding the ring with a clear round and a faster time to move into first place. Last but not least, Hutchison headed in determined to out-jump the competition. Hutchison had the time to win, but had an unfortunate rail, leaving Lindsay victorious, winning her first career Grand Prix! A heartfelt congratulations to Lindsay and the Archer Family on a wonderful win!
