Longines Paris Masters has a new winner
The Prix Lido de Paris goes to a lady rider... Better still: a lady who is none other than the Longines ambassador... A French-Swiss duel for the first five places... Sometimes, sport can have its own sense of justice.

Perhaps Philippe Rozier and Olivier Guillon, respectively second and third, were distracted by the Bluebell Girls from the Lido of Paris who were in the arena while they were walking the course. In any case, Jane Richard Philips took the opportunity to take the hand in this class against the clock. Her accomplice was Zerkina Z, her former top mare who is now 15 years old. Together, they won several Grand Prix, came fourth in the World Cup final, fifth with the Swiss team in the Kentucky WEG... Today, they still enjoy competing in top classes like the Prix Lido de Paris, where the great rapport they have together produced a smooth and fast round that no other couple was able to beat.

The Bluebell Girls, to the delight of the riders and spectators, then came back into the arena to put on a special show during the prize giving, before returning to the Village Prestige to present their cabaret Paris Merveilles directed by the famous Belgian Franco Dragone of Ecaussines. There'll be more of this special combination of sport, show and glamour later on tonight in the AMADE Style & Competition class, a highly anticipated moment of entertainment and generosity.
