Eventually it was Germany's stylish rider, Marcus Ehning who jumped to victory on his For Pleasure-son, Funky Fred. The pair stopped the clock in 40.11 seconds. Also Marco Kutscher finished clear with Balermo (by Baloubet Du Rouet). Rolf Göran Bengtsson placed third.
Together with Spring Dark (by Jazz Band Courcelle) he stopped the clock in 40.33 seconds en jumped one rail down, placing third.
Aniek Poels and Barry white 3 (by Twisther) showed some girl power in this class with only one jumping fault placing fourth.
The top six was completed by Porter Wilton (Delinquent JX, by Darco) and Fernandez Saro Manuel (Santiago de Blondel, by Calvaro).
