Marcus Ehning leaves it all on the field in breathtaking jump-off in the Rolex Grand Prix CHIO Aachen
The CHIO Aachen comes to an end with the nailbiting Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen. Here it is all about two rounds of showjumping with the best riders in the world, followed by a jump-off with one goal for each competitor.. The 1.000.000 euro prizemoney.

With only five combinations returning for the breathtaking jump-off it would be the battle of battles on the field of Aachen. It was Pedro Veniss who started with a very strong round aboard his Quabri de l 'Isle (by Kannan) with whom he remained clear in 41.62 seconds. The public then exploded for their home rider Marcus Ehning who aboard his Pret a Tout (by Hiram Shambertim) had to go second. He dove under the time of Vediss making the field go crazy and leaving him with a victory in 38.34 seconds.

It then was between Vediss and Luciana Diniz and her Fit for Fun (by For Pleasure) for second place. Diniz and her little Fit For Fun gave it their all in the last couple meters where she almost fell of her horse trying to win some seconds. She finished with a beautiful second place behind Ehning in 40.96 seconds. That left Pedro Veniss for the third place.

Irish rider Darragh Kenny who started with two strong clear rounds had to deal with the nerves of himself and his Babalou 41 (by Balou du Rouet) with whom he finished in 12 penaltes in fourth place. While in fifth place Swiss rider Steve Guerdat finished aboard his Bianca (by Balou du Rouet) with also 12 penalties.
