Marcus Ehning tops the Sunday evening class in Gothenburg
Before the final day of the Longines World Cup Finals the CSI4* in Gothenburg offered a 1.55m evening Gothenburg Trophey win an amazing jump-off. It was Marcus Ehning riding Pret a Tou (Hiram Chambertin x Stew Boy) how took home the win. Earlier in the day, the German rider won the Youngster Tour Final with Zanzara E ( Eurocommerce Zürich x Lux).

A total of thirteen riders qualified for the jump-off, and much to the crowds' delight six of them were Swedish. Home hero Rolf-Göran Bengtsson took an early lead with the 17-year-old Casall Ask (Caretino x Lavall), and the audience went off the hooks almost lifting the roof in the Scandinavium Arena. Bengtsson managed to keep the lead for quite some time, but then it was the German riders' turn and things were about to change on top.

Ehning did an unbeatable jump-off with Pret a Tout, previously seen under Kaya Lüthi. Christian Ahlmann and Colorit (Coriano x Capitol) also managed to squeeze in ahead of the Swedish rider, with 0.28 seconds up to Ehning and 0.14 down to Bengtsson.

Swedish riders followed in rank three, four, five and six. Charlotte Mordasini with Tiny Toon Semilly (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) ended 4th, Helena Persson with Bonzai H (Baloubet du Rouet x Caletto II) in 5th and Jonna Ekberg with Equita van't Zorgvliet (Cassini I x Darco) 6th. Once again the audience was happy, and lived up to their reputation as the most fair and supporting crowds in the world.
