Thirteen combinations started in the thrilling jump-off in the Grand Prix Lyon. Mark McAuley and Miebello (Flying Quite Easy) proved themselves best and won this class in 34,38 seconds. With that time, they beat the Swiss combination Steve Guerdat and Bianca (Balou du Rouet). They finished in 34,77 seconds.
French rider Penelope Leprevost and SBS stallion Vagabond de la Pomme (Vigo d'Arsouilles) came in third. Lauren Hough and Ohlala (Orlando) took the fourth place for the United States, Julien Gonin claimed the fifth place for France.
