Matthew Sampson and Paul Crago give it their all in British Speed Derby of Hickstead
The British showed off their skills in Hickstead today during the British Speed Derby. Matthew Sampson took the lead with BWBS-bred Topflight True Carlo (Theodor) over the 1,45m-high fences. In this Table C-class, were penalties are added in the form of extra seconds, he won in 96,58 seconds including four penalties. He was quite fast, since even Paul Crago and Valentino IX (Andiamo) didn't come any closer than 2,5 seconds. They also collected four penalties.

The Irish, as usual, weren't far away. Paddy O'Donnell and Hey There Delilah (Boherdeal Clover) were really fast in 91,48 seconds, but eight penalties put them in the third place. One place down in the top five, it was Brazil's Carlos Eduardo Mota Ribas with Brilexo (Phin Phin) who finished fourth. Harriet Nuttall and Silver Lift (Easy Lift) took the fifth spot for Great Britain.
