McLain Ward jumps to booming victory in Longines Grand Prix New York
The number eight of the Longines Ranking Show Jumping, the American rider McLain Ward, just won the thrilling Grand Slam Longines Grand Prix in New York CSI5* 1,60m. In the enthralling jump-off the audience saw fourteen combinations in the arena, but only six managed to go clear.

Ward and his eleven-year-old Clinta, an Oldenburgian mare by Clinton, took the victory home for the US in 34,92 seconds. Peder Fredricson and Hansson WL (Hip Hop), the last pair to ride the jump-off, were able to beat Erynn Ballard and Fantast (Toulon), for Sweden. The Canadian rider and her thirteen-year-old Fantast set a fast time of 35,89 seconds, but Fredricson beat them in less than half a second.

Kevin Staut and his Vendome d'Anchat HDC (Diamant de Semilly) took the fourth place for France in 36,26 seconds, Cristalline (Cristallo) and Adrienne Sternlicht closed the top five for the US.
