Menendez makes it a home win in Gijon
The Spanish ruled on own ground during the Longines Grand Prix in Gijon, Spain. Victory coloured Spanish in this 1.60m class. Aboard the 12-year-old Cassini I-son, Cassino DC jumped to glory with Gerardo Menendez in the saddle.

A total of 12 combinations qualified for the jump-off. Menendez was followed by his compatriot Laura Roquet with Sandi Puigroq (by Diamant de Semilly).

Great-Britain's Louise Saywell completed the stage. Saywell already jumped to the top ranking places earlier last week in Gijon. Now she completed the stage with her 15-year-old KWPN-horse, Tin Tin.

Victor Bettendorf (Sorbier Blanc) and Tobias Meyer (Avanti) followed in a fourth and fifth place.
