Nayal Nassar unbeatable in Longines Speed Challenge
In New York, the last class of the day has just been ridden. This class was one of the highlights of the weekend: the Longines Speed Challenge. 25 riders entered the show ring for this class that was ridden against the clock. Each knockdown resulted in two extra seconds so riders would be perfectly able to win with a very fast time and a fencefault.

The fastest round came from Nayal Nassar. The Egyptian rider and Lucifer V (f. Lord Dezi) finished in 56,45 seconds but had one penalty for jumping. Luckily for them, no other rider rode faster than their time, so this was enough to take the victory home. The second place went to the 30-year old American lady rider Kristen Vanderbeen. Vanderveen and Bull Run's Faustino de Tili (f. Berlin) rode a super fast round as well and finished in 59,07 seconds. They got two extra seconds for a jumping penalty also, so their overall result was a time of 61,07 seconds. Belgiums Olivier Philippaerts did manage to keep the zero on the score board with Insolente Des Dix Bonniers (f. Winningmood vd Arenberg), a horse he just recently took over from his younger brother Thibault. Philippaerts crossed the finish line in 61,33 seconds, resulting in a third place in the ranking.

Beat Mändli and Galan S (f. Indoctro) rode a clear round as well. They finished in 61,70 seconds, enough for the fourth place. Daniel Bluman and Cartouche completed the top five.
