New talent for Olympic rider Alberto Michán

Last month, the combination jumped successfully at Sentower Park, debuting in the 1.50m and 1.55m classes. The highly talented son of Canabis Z, Joint de Canabis, showcased his abilities, which did not go unnoticed.

Among the interested, the Limburg-based horse dealer and rider Boaz Rich, who had been following the qualities of Joint de Canabis from Doornhoeve for some time. He facilitated Alberto Michán, a two-time Olympic participant, to take the reins.

The son of Canabis Z, bred and owned by Astrid van Doorn-Brinks from Bennekom, out of an also homebred 1.50m jumping daughter of Cardento, has just left the stables of the Heijligers family from Asten.

"Of course, I regret it," says Rob on behalf of the family, "but I have also greatly enjoyed this horse. I'm glad I had the opportunity to train him to this level since he was five-years-old. Incredible he's now in the hands of an Olympic rider who will guide him to the highest level. I wish the new combination a lot of success."
