Nicole Pavitt fills the stage in Vilamoura

Thursday, Nicole Pavitt managed to take the first two places in the 1.45 m competition of the 2* International Show Jumping Contest at the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour. The show is in the middle of its second week and will run until April the 3rd, at the Centro Equestre de Vilamoura.


For this victory, Pavitt rode Hussah TM and jumped over the 13 obstacles of the course in 55.68 seconds, without faults.  Then, with Victor Blue, the rider secured the second place, with 55.77 seconds, flawless as well.


The Belgian François Brichart, riding Boni Equi Caval, took the third place with a time of 56.96 seconds. This competition counts towards the FEI Longines Ranking.


As for the Portuguese riders, the third day of the second week of the show, at the Clube Hípico de Vilamoura, was marked by the third place achieved by young João Pereira Coutinho, in the 1.40 m competition(CSI 2*), won by the British rider Laura Mantel.


The weekend ahead anticipates thrilling emotions to all the fans and public who accept the challenge to visit the show at the Clube Hípico de Vilamoura. Highlights will happen on Sunday with a Grand Prix gathering more horses and riders than the competition of the last weekend. The entrance is free!


With 1000 horses and 300 riders of 27 countries, the Vilamoura Atlantic Tour 2016 is the longest show jumping taking place in Europe and one of the largest in the world.


The international equestrian show Vilamoura Atlantic Tour 2016 is sponsored by Turismo de Portugal - Algarve, Câmara Municipal de Loulé, Caixa de Crédito Agrícola, Vilamoura World, Microprocessor (digital systems) and Pine Cliffs.


The Atlantic Tour takes place at the Clube Hípico de Vilamoura, a reference facility included in the Vilamoura's Masterplan, under the theme Vilamoura Active. Among other things, the resort's current development plan includes an investment in infrastructures, activities and events in order to strengthen Vilamoura as a reference destination in Europe.
