Before the CSI5* riders saddle their best horses for tonights class, it was up to the seven year old horses to show their worth. This 1m35 class was a 'two phases special' and 37 combinations entered the show ring. It seemed for a very long time that Bertram Allen was going to win, but then Olivier Philippaerts came in... This resulted in a clear round in 30,18 seconds, beating Allen at the very last moment. Bertram had to take peace with the second place. This young Irish rider rode a clear round as well with Go To Fortuna (f. Eldorado vd Zeshoek) and finished in 30,65 seconds. The third place went to the Colombian rider Dayro Arroyave.
