Pieter Devos takes final win at the LGCT Mexico

At the final day of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Mexico Pieter Devos has made his trip worth while. The Belgium show jumping rider jumped to victory in the final 1.55m Longines Ranking class. No less than 16 combinations qualified for the jump-off. Eventually a total of five pair's crossed the finish clear.

Aboard the KWPN-gelding, Apart (f. Larino), Devos stopped the clock in 35.65 seconds speeding to the over 47,000 euro victory. Italy's Lorenzo de Luca followed as runner-up with the 12-year-old grey gelding, Limestone Grey (f. Try-time). The pair set the chrono at 36.35 seconds.

Ireland's Denis Lynch completed the stage with the 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood sire, Rmf Echo (f. Virus de Laubry). Lynch stopped the clock at 36.41 seconds staying ahead over one second on Devos' compatriot, Jérome Guery.

The Olympic rider placed fourth with the 9-year-old Kel'star du Vingt Ponts (f. Kannan). Christian Rhomberg completed the top five with Saphyr des Lacs (f. Mr. Blue).
