Pius Schwizer makes it a home win in Basel

At the international horse show of Basel the action is kicking-off. In today 's main 1.50m class it was SWitzerland's Pius Schwizer who made the crowd go wild with a home win.

Schwizer and the 10-year-old Cortney Cox speeded to victory in this Longines Ranking class. Aboard the Carlo-daughter the Swiss show jumping rider stopped the clock in 59.26 seconds.

Austria's Maw Küher followed as runner-up with his Cornet Kalua (Cornet Obolensky). Kühner guided his mare faultless through the course in 62.15 seconds. The pair was followed by Belgium's Pieter Devos aboard his 13-year-old trusted Gin D (Clinton I).

Outside the stage it were Pia Reich with Cool and Easy (Contender) and Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida aboard Isolde vd Heffinck (Contact vd Heffinck) who completed the top five.
