Pius Schwizer takes a strong start at the Saut Hermès
Not France but Switzerland takes the first win under a bright sky in the Grand Palais in Paris, France. Aboard Leonard de la Ferme CH (by Landjuweel), Pius Schwizer took home the win in the CSI5* opening-class. The pair finished clear in 26.48 seconds. A total of 36 combinations took the start in this 1.45m class, only 14 finished clear.

France's Patrice Delaveau took the short turns and showed what the Haras Des Coudrettes' Carinjo HDC (by Cascavelle) is worth. Finishing in 27.13 seconds they were however no match for the Swiss speed devil. Delaveau finished as runner-up and was followed by British Laura Renwick aboard MHS Washington (by Obos Quality).

The top five was completed by Romain Duguet and Christiana Duguet's Twentytwo des Biches (by Mylord Carthago*HN SF). John Whitak and  Cassinis Chaplin (by Cassini) finished fifth after a clear finish in 28.80 seconds.
