Ramsay and Cocq A Doodle Have Something to Crow About at Split Rock Jumping Tour's Columbus International CSI 3*
The rain came Thursday to the Split Rock Jumping Tour's Columbus International CSI 3*, held at the Brave Horse Show Park in Johnstown, Ohio, but it did not dampen the competitive spirit of the horses and riders.
The feature event of the day, the $35,000 CSI 3* Hollow Creek Farm 1.45 Meter Speed Cup went to Andrew Ramsay, USA, and Cocq A Doodle who turned in a blazing clear round in 60.17 seconds

Cocq A Doddle, known in the barn as 'Doodles', a 2007 Belgian Warmblood mare (Tolan R x Niagara) owned by The Doodle Group, and Ramsay have been partnered for the past year and a half, securing multiple top placing's across the country.

"She is a fantastic mare," said Ramsay.  "She is a fighter.  She gets out there and she is quick, she just looks for the next fence.  A really enjoyable horse to ride.  She is eager and has plenty of energy.  Our plan on the first day was just to let her go a bit, let her get confident, and she really delivered.  Her confidence zone is to let her out and let her have some pace and it worked out for us."

Second place went to Emanuel Andrade, VEN, and Bon Jovi.  The pair came close to Ramsay, clear in 60.44 seconds, but not close enough.  Third place was Olympic Gold Medalist Peter Wylde, USA, with Aimee, owned by Aram Ampagoumian LLC.  The pair were clear in 62.1 and held the lead for most of the class until they were bumped from the top of the leaderboard by Ramsay and Andrade.

Marion Scott Head of Brownsboro, AL, rode her Poker Face M to victory in the High 1.40 Meter Junior/Amateur Owner Power and Speed class.  Twelve horse and rider combinations tested their mettle over the course set by designer Olaf Petersen.  Only Head and Eugenio Garza with El Milagro's Victer Finn DH Z, managed to complete both the power and the speed sections of the track without penalty.  Head's time of 45.842 seconds decisively gave her the win over Garza who finished in 51.874 seconds.

Peter Wylde rode the Oakridge Farm entry Bella Donna for the won in the 1.30 Meter Speed class.  This combination finished the course as the only ones with no faults in 71.631, a full three seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
