Richard Spooner speeds to victory at Las Vegas horse show opening
At the South Point hotel arena in Las Vegas the 1.45m welcoming class of the FEI World Cup competition was conquered by California's Richard Spooner. Ten combinations completed the second phase faultless.

Aboard the 13-year-old KWPN-stallion, Arthos R (Namelus R), Spooner jumped to victory in under 24 seconds. Arthos R was produced at an international level by Tom Brinkman and moved later to Wim Schröder and Duch show jumping rider, Jesper Romp. With over one second difference, Molly Ashe followed as runner-up.

In the saddle of her sBs-gelding, Picobello Choppin PC (Mozart des Hayettes) Ashe didn't touch the wood. The breeding product of Philippe de Cunchy was produced at an international level by Belgium's Guillaume Ruant.
Last week Nayel Nassar jumped to victory in Thermal. On Wednesday he settled for third; Aboard Lucifer V (Lord Pezi) Nassar was followed by Karrie Rufer with Mai Tai 2 (Ustinov) while Shawn Casady completed the top five with Durango VDL (VDL Zirocco Blue NOP).
