Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida ensures home victory in CSIO3* of Lisbon

Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida, the Portuguese rider, managed to win the CSIO3* 1,50m of Lisbon today. He did that with his nine-year-old Kafka vd Heffinck, a Belgian-bred son of Calvaro.

Belgian rider Dries Dekkers sent D&J Havanna (Griseldi), another BWP-horse, to the second place in 60,7 seconds, half a second slower than Almeida. Max Thirouin also rode a Belgian horse. Jewel de Kwakenbeek, a son of Cicero Z, jumped to a third place in 61,21 seconds.

Jodie Hall McAteer and Fantom (Mr Visto) finished fourth in 62,4 seconds. Irelands Richard Howley and Farianne (Indoctro) were able to seize the fifth position.
