Roger Yves Bost was the last rider at the start in this 1.45m Longines Rannking class aboard his Teway de La Batia (Calvaro). The pair was the only to keep the chrono in under 25 seconds. Bosty so referred Ireland's Mark McAuley to the runner-up spot with his 15-year-old Miebello (Flyinge Quite Easy).
Belgium's Gregory Wathelet completed the stage in the saddle of his 10-year-old Spike vd Withoeve (Sting vd Withoeve). The pair was followed by Cian O'Connor with Baronescha (Verdi TN) in fourth and Max Kuhner in the saddle of Chardonnay 79 (Clarimo).
