Spanish show jumping rider, Sergio Alvarez Moya has announced the sale of the 15-year-old KWPN-gelding, Alamo. "Thank you for everything, you'll be missed at the stable. I wish you all the best with your new rider," states Moya. In the future Abdullah Al Sharbatly will compete the gelding.
In december last year, Moya and the son of Ukato jumped to a third place in the 1.50m class at the World Cup in Coruna. The pair excelled in different international classes in 2022, winning the 1.55m at the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour in Madrid.
Moya took over the reins in 2021. Before the gelding, bred by D. Nanning, was competed by - amongst others - Steve Guerdat. With Guerdat, the KWPN-gelding won the 2019 World Cup finals in Göteborg and the CSI5* Grand Prix in Waregem.
Alamo is the third horse the United Arab Federation invests in towards the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Abdullah Al Sharbatly will take over the reins of the gelding.
