Shane Breen speeds to victory in Sopot

Poland is the home ground for a CSI5* show this weekend. In Sopot, some of the best riders in the world are riding their best horses to show what they're worth. The highlight of today was a 5* 1.50m-class ridden against the clock. Of the 85 starting combinations, Shane Breen crowned himself as the winner. He and Acoustik Solo du Baloubet (Baloubet du Rouet) rode the fastest time. It was a very exciting class: Breen and his gelding clocked off in 54,76 seconds, only a little bit faster than the Polish rider Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski. Skrzyczynski and Crazy Qucik (Chacco-Blue) were quick indeed. They rode a very fast round in 54, 82 seconds. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't enough to beat the Irish Breen.

Ireland and Germany completed the rest of the podium: Alexander Butler and Monastery Stud More Pleasure (Stolzenberg) came in third. They rode a clear round in 57,18 seconds. This was exactly the same time as Holger Wulschner and BSC Skipper (Stolzenberg). It was a very interesting class indeed because the times were al very close to each other. Fifth place was for the Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels. He and Gancia de Muze (Malito de Reves) jumped clear in 57,19 seconds.

Ramzy Al Duhami and Garlic van het Kapelhof (Tauber vh Kapelhof) had to settel for sixth place. The rode a clear round as well and crossed the finish line in 57,96 seconds.
