Simon Delestre wins World Cup class in Lyon after stunning jump-off
Several top class combinations took their turns in the jump-off of the FEI World Cup class in Lyon, but none of them were able to beat home rider Simon Deleste and Hermes Ryan (Hugo Gesmeray SF). Steve Guerdat and Bianca (Balou du Rouet), the duo that started before Delestre, pushed the Belgian rider Pieter Devos and Claire Z (Clearway) to second place with their time of 39,05 seconds and took the first place. But that didn't last long, because Simon Delestre and Hermes Ryan were faster than all the rest with a time of 37,72 seconds.

Henrik von Eckermann and Mary Lou, an eleven-year-old mare by Montendro, were a little faster than Guerdat and took the second place.

The final top five was: Simon Delestre in first place, von Eckermann in second, Steve Guerdat in third and Pieter Devos in the fourth place. The Irish rider Mark McAuley and Miebello (Flying Quite Easy) completed the top five.
