Six of the best-ranked riders have confirmed their attendance to the show and we are glad to welcome:
Daniel Deusser (1) – Team bronze in the Olympic Games of Rio, the Belgian rider has been several weeks ahead of the Longines FEI ranking. Since 2014, he has not stopped to reap success, being champion of Germany, two-times runner-up in the European Championship and winner of the Longines FEI World Cup Final are some of their triumphs.
Christian Ahlmann (3) – The German has been a long time in the elite and also is in a sweet moment, having been until recently at the head of the international ranking. Team bronze medal in the Rio and Athens Olympic Games, European Champion and winner of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final, we are sure will not disappoint the Mexican public.
Eric Lamaze (5) – The Canadian rider, winner of the Beijing Olympics or the Aachen Grand Prix, was very close to being Olympic gold again in Rio, finally being a bronze medalist with the young Fine Lady 5. He is ascending to a good rhythm in the ranking and Intends to try to keep on rising.
Simon Delestre (6) – An injury to his horse prevented him from being in Rio. In the last four years has been imposed in four Grand Prix of the circuit LGCT and this year will try to expand the list.
Kevin Staut (8) – The French rider arrives in a great state of form when winning Olympic team gold in Rio de Janeiro. Team Runner-up in the WEG in two occasions and individual European Champion in 2009 are some of the most important titles of the Gallic.
Scott Brash (9) - Team gold medal at the London Olympics and the European Championship in 2013, the British rider can show of having consecutively won the Longines Global Champions Tour in 2013 and 2014. He has won six Grand Prixes of the circuit in two years with the same horse.
Just arrived from the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final that will be held this weekend in Omaha, twelve riders will be also in Mexico City: Max Kuhner (AUT), Nicola Philippaerts and Gergory Wathelet (BEL), Simon Delestre and Kevin Staut (FRA), Denis Lynch (IRL), Lorenzo de Luca (ITA), Maikel van der Vleuten and Leopold van Asten (NED), Ali Al Thani (QAT), Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs (SUI)
The winner of the previous edition of the LGCT Mexico, Roger Yves-Bost, will also try to win the first Grand Prix of the year.
