Stanny Van Paesschen to be Iran's showjumping chef d'equipe
The three-time Olympic show jumping rider, Stanny van Paesschen has accepted a new position as chef d'equipe of the Iranian showjumping team. The contract will at least continue until the Asian Games, held in 2018, says an Iranian showjumping rider to our editorial office.

Stanny won the Olympic Bronze medal in Canada in 1976, 12 years later in 1987, the belgian show jumping rider won the Jumping Mechelen Grand Prix. In 2001 Van Paesschen jumped to victory at the worldcup competition in Verona with O de Pomme. During the Olympic Games in 20014 in Athens Constant van Paesschen's father placed sixth.

Until recently Van Paesschen was the chef d'equipe of the Saoudi-Arabia showjumping team. Van Paesschen guided the team to the individual silver Medal at the FEI world Games in Lexington in 2010. The team also won the gold medal at the last Asian Games in Guangzhou, placing the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia on the map.

However the 2012 Bronze medal win at the 2012 London Olympic Games were the best achievement and end result of a fruitful cooperation.
