Strong start for UK riders in Al Shira'aa Hickstead with victory for Joe Whitaker

In the Al Shira'aa Hickstead Derby Meeting it's UK rider Joe Whitaker who aboard his Diola (by Locarno 62) jumped to a first place with a total of 78.54 seconds on the clock in the 1m45 four star competition.

He stayed ahead of Guy Williams and the stallion Rouge de Ravel (by Ultimo van ter Moude) with whom he finished in second place in 79.42 seconds. Then in third place it was Richard Barton and his Dutch Warmblood Donata (by Ukato) in 81.31 seconds.

Completing the top five in fourth place was Kirstie Leightley with Thais d'La Verrerie, followed by a fifth place for Chloe Winchester and her Sheyenne 27.
