The first clear round came from Austria's Max Kühner and his eight year old PSG Final (by Toulon) with whom he completed his round in 56.62 seconds taking the lead in the field. The question would be if he could keep this lead. It was Christian Ahlmann who kept the public on the edge of their seats by jumping another clear round atop Tokyo (by Kannan) finishing with 57.68 seconds on the clock taking him to a possible second place.
All eyes turned then to Belgium rider Pieter Devos who entered the arena as the last combination of the day. Atop his Dutch Warmblood Apart (by Larino) he deliverd a goosebump ride ensuring a wild applause after a stunning clear round in 49.05 seconds taking the lead in this impressive field. That meant that both Kühner and Ahlmann moved to second and third place.
Fastest rider of the day was German jockey Maurice Tebbel who aboard Don Diarado (by Diarado) ensured a time of 45.53 seconds. He however did not jump a clear round and with four penalties he goes home with the fourth place. Following in fith place we found Swedish rider Stephanie Holmén atop Flip's Little Sparrow (by Cardento 933) who also jumped a fast round in 46.13 seconds but crossed the finishline with four penalties as well.
