Swiss veteran Walter Gabathuler is back on top!
In the first CSI5* class of the day on Jumping Lummen there were only 3 combinations to go on to the jump off. The fastest of the three was the Swiss rider Walter Gabathuler. He was the last to start in and was more than one second slower than Johnny Pals. he rode Silver Surfer (by Casall) and stopped the time in 48.06 seconds.

Johnny Pals rode A Lee Spring Power (by Argentinus) and crossed the finish line in 49.87 seconds. On the third place in the jump off came the Spanish rider Julio Arias. He was eliminated due to a fall with his horse Chariosa (by Chacco-Blue).

On the fourth place came Ann Carton-Grootjans. She was the fastest combination with one fault in the first round. She rode Irvine ter Doorn (by Toulon) and had a time of 75.17 seconds. Constant van Paesschen ended on the fifth place with Astro Boy (by Sarantos) who also had one fault in the first round.
