The first victory for Oliver Lazarus, rider from South Africa, in the Prix Dolce & Gabbana
27 pairs participated in the Prix Dolce&Gabbana, a 1.40m event in two rounds. Only the 7 highest ranking riders at the end of the first round qualified for the second round. The total of points from both rounds counted for the final ranking, however, only the time from the second round counted.

Seven pairs qualified for the second round, with no faults in the first round. Guillaume Canet (FRA) / Sweet Boy d’Alpa, gave his all, however the option did not pay off because he touched a bar. He finished 5th with 38.62 seconds.

Young rider, Victoria Tachet (FRA) / Univers du Vinnebus, also touched a bar, finishing fourth with 35.61 seconds.

Flaminia Straumann (SUI) / Cupido Z, stepped on the podium's third riser. She was the first to achieve a double clear round in 39.97 seconds.

Olivier Lazarus (RSA)/Bagheera Blue, second to the last to start, was able to make sharper turns. After having taken a lot of risks, he left with a clear round in 36.83 seconds. He took first place in the temporary ranking.

Giovanni Consorti (ITA) / Cutter, the fastest in the first round, was not able to beat Olivier Lazarus' time and had to settle for second place.

Words from Olivier Lazarus: "It's the first time that I win here, I am really very happy. My stallion, Bagheera Blue, behaved very well. The beautiful sun and light breeze on a magnificent course inspired me. I took a lot of risks, we brushed two or three bars...They held and finally I am a winner here and it's fabulous!"
