Valkenswaard United rules all in second round of GCL Cannes

In the second round of the Global Champions Tour in Cannes, it was Valkenswaard United that crowned itself the winning team. The team of Italy's Alberto Zorzi and Jur Vrieling won with 8 penalties and 157,2 seconds. In this second round, Zorzi got four penalties with Fair Light vh Heike (Vigo d'Arsouilles), Jur Vrieling and VDL Glasgow v Merelsnest NOP (Nabab de Reve) went clear after collecting four penalties in the first round.

The second place was for the Miami Celtics of Jessica Springsteen and Cameron Hanley. Springsteen had two rails down with RMF Swinny du Parc (Caspar), Hanley and Quirex (Quirado) went clear. They ended up in second place with 8 penalties and 157,82 seconds. The Cascais Charms of John Whitaker and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson finished third.

In the individual ranking it was Egypt's Sameh El Dahan with Suma's Zorro (Douglas) to finish the fastest. They won in 73,03 seconds. Olivier Philippaerts and H&M Legend of Love (Landzauber) followed in the second place, Britain's John Whitaker piloted Cassinis Chaplin (Cassini) in 77,46 seconds to the third place. David Will and Deluxe Ilton (Cooper vd Heffinck) finished fourth for Germany.
