Weishaupt wins the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen
In a battle of the titans is was Phillipp Weishaupt who was the only rider that managed to stay clear over the tough two courses in the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen today. With two penalties for time the German rider did not need a jump-off to beat Britains Scott Brash who came second and Sergio Alvarez Moya  who finished in third.

With only Martin Fuchs, Gerco Schröder and Weishaupt making it to the second round without seeing a pole come down it looked like it was going to come down to a German, Dutch and Swiss battle this afternoon. However the second round was a tricky as the first and  Schröder and was hiw Glock´s Cognac Champblanc N.O.P. drop down the leader bord as they had an unnlucky pole making them finish on fice penalty points and a 12th place. The same happened to Fuchs and Clooney 51 who accumulated two faults and an additional time penalty having them drop to  the 15th place.

This opened the door for other top riders like Brash who corrected his mistake from round one by riding a flawless round with Ursula XII. Spanish Alvarez Moya  followed the British lead and cruised around the course with his Carlo 273 and putting pressure on Weishaupts back. But the German rider remained cool aboard his LB Convall and wowed the crowd in Aachen by riding a fantastic clear round and securing the win.

Brash, finished in second with 5 penalties, and Alvarez Moya who had to settle with third because his time of 70.69 seconds was just not enough to beat Brash. On fourth place it was Marcus Ehning who made the same comeback in the second round by jumping hi Olympic ride Pret A Tout clear around the course in 71.83 staying ahead of Canada's Tiffany Foster  who finished in fifth.
