Who will be crowned the next Dutch Show jumping Champion?
Next weekend the Dutch show jumping riders gather in Mierlo, the Netherlands. At the end of April the community gathers to battle it out at the Dutch show jumping Championships. This year the annual championships are also a selection criteria for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

 

On Thursday the competitions starts with the speed class to continue on Friday and Sunday with high built and long tracks.

Not only will the results be a possible criteria for the Olympic team selections, it will also determine the Dutch team for the first FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup Division I competition in Europe. As next week Lummen welcomes the international crowd at its CSIO.

Title defender, Leopold Van Asten will compete again with his Champions horse VDL Groep Zidane N.O.P. Only Maikel van der Vleuten is the only missing show jumper part of the Dutch Olympic selection team. The home-rider finished with a silver medal at last years Dutch Championships.

Further European and World Champion Jeroen Dubbeldam will take the start with Carusso la Silla. Also Harrie Smolders will compete. This time he tacks up Aiuetoro. They will compete against Jur Vrieling (VDL Zirocco Blue N.O.P.), Gert Jan Bruggink, Wout Jan van der SChans, Willem Greve, Gerco Schröder, Albert Zoer, etc.
