Verona: Peder Fredricson unbeatable in the CSI5* 1.55m main class

The first day of the competition was completed in Verona, Italy. On the program was the CSI5* 1.55m class with jump-off. Eight combinations managed to keep the zero including Willem Greve. The Dutchman seemed on the way to victory but the very last rider, Peder Fredricson, decided otherwise.

Willem Greve set a time of 34.74 seconds with Highway M TN and that seemed unbeatable, but that was without Fredricson. His H&M Christian K was six hundredths of a second faster and helps the Swede to victory. Carlos Enrique Lopez Lizarazo and Admara also managed to stay clear but needed 34.98 seconds to do so which earned them bronze.

Sergio Alvarez Moya and Alamo are back in fourth place, Christian Ahlmann and Mandato van de Neerheide complete the top five.
