Niels Bruynseels was one of the Belgian riders who got placed for the World Cup finals in Las Vegas. Corona however made the final got cancelled. Bruynseels indicates that he wasn't very disappointed when this happened: "I was relieved when the final got cancelled because it would not be possible to jump a championship like this if you can not jump for five weeks".
"Besides that, the final is indoors, it just would not have been fair to the horses. Horses on this level need to have a certain rhythm and you can not expect them to jump a 1m55 championship if they don't got the time to prepare. This would not have been healthy for them either".
