In Aachen, the day for the dressage riders started with the Prix St. Georges. As expected, the German riders did very well: they took home two of the three podium placings. Helen Langehanenberg rode to victory. She was designated the winner by three of the five judges. Her test was rewarded with a total of 76.324%.

Second place went to Frederic Wandres. He rode Quizmaster (by Quasar de Charry) to a total score of 75.059%. Emmelie Scholtens and Indian Rock (by Apache) completed the top three with a total score of 74.500%.
For Dinja van Liere (Independent Little Me) and Guillermo Garcia Ayala (Poeta de Susaeta) there was a fourth and fifth place.
