Christian Ahlmann is one of the best riders of the moment. He is one of the key riders of the German team but in an interview he stated that he really admires Steve Guerdat: "He seems to become better and better"
"It's incredible what the Swiss riders are doing", Ahlmann starts. "Steve (Guerdat) and Martin (Fuchs) have been dominating the past season. Martin is still young and is a relatively 'new' face on the top, but Steve has proven his talent and skills over the last few seasons. It seems like he was only getting better in the months before the Corona crisis started. I think the fact that he has his own stable now, has meant a lot for him. Besides that he is also working with new owners and I really believe that did him good. I think both factors have had a very positive influence on his life. Besides that, he is also a very talented rider. He can win any Grand Prix, which is a gift not many riders have".
"Martin is an excellent riders as well. He has a very good team and his family and friends support him for 100%. Besides that, he also has a lovely team of good horses. He is, despite the fact that he's still young, already one of the best riders in the world".
