Germany opens competitions for non-professional riders

Last weekend a competition for amateur riders took place in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein for the first time. The competitions for professional riders had already started, but now the amateurs were also allowed to enter the competition ring.

During the Ascension weekend non-professional riders were also allowed to return to the competition ring but of course there were lots of measures to follow. The most important thing remained keeping distance.

"Only riders and their groom were allowed on the site. Spectators were not allowed and there was no first aid present. During the class, only riders of that class were allowed on the competition site. Riders who had to wait a while were not allowed to watch but had to wait in the parking lot. The course walk was done on the horse"; said Schultes of the organization.

A maximum number of registrations of 30 riders per class were allowed.
