Hans-Dieter Dreher: "This was the first time my horse jumped a 1m60 class"

Hans-Dieter Dreher had been in very good form all week in Mechelen but on Friday afternoon he put the icing on the cake by jumping to second place in the World Cup. For this he counted on Cous Cous (by Cachas), a 10-year-old stallion making his debut at this level. "It was actually the first time my horse jumped a 1m60 class," he laughed afterwards.

"I was very happy to be back at the start in Mechelen. The audience in Mechelen is always great, they really sympathize with the combinations and that only motivates you extra. I hope I can come back next year," he winked at the organization.

"For me there are definitely some World Cups ahead including Leipzig. I am now fifteenth in the provisional standings so I am going to do everything I can to qualify for the final."
