During the Allianz-Prize, Christian Ahlmann and Solid Gold Z (Stakkato) gave the home crowd more than reason to cheer with a phenomenal winning round.
Ten combinations were allowed to compete in the "winning round", the jump-off. In the end, the rider of Studfarm Zangersheide, Christian Ahlmann, managed to keep his cool the most and sent Solid Gold Z to a solid gold place. Swiss Bryan Balsiger finished with Dubai du Bois Pinchet (Kashmir van Schuttershof) a good second behind Ahlmann, and was so good for the silver. Harrie Smolders took Uricas v.d. Kattevennen to bronze.
Gerrit Nieberg gave the home crowd something more to cheer for, and placed fourth in the saddle of Blues d'Aveline CH (Baloussini). Belgian Wilm Vermeir rode Enola Gay of Two Notes Z (Emerald van't Ruytershof) to the last place in the top five.
