Niels Bruynseels wins first LGCT Grand Prix of the season

In Doha, the first Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of the season was jumped just now. The combinations were presented a tough basic course: only seven combinations could jump a clear round. A jump-off with seven combinations had to decide the winner.

Same scenario as yesterday: when Scott Brash had to start last, Niels Bruynseels was in the lead. This time, however, there was a different outcome. Brash jumped a very fast round on Hello Vincent (by Consul DL Vie Z) but got two faults. This earned him sixth place.

This time the victory went to Bruynseels with Delux van T & L (by Toulon) who jumped a clear jump-off in 39.93 seconds. Lorenzo de Luca and the only 10-year-old Nuance Bleue VDM Z (by Nabab de Reve) finished in second place. They jumped a clear round in 40.20 seconds. Eric Lamaze and Dieu Merci by T&lL (by Toulon) completed the top three. They left all the fences in the spoons and finished in 40.35 seconds.

Bart Bles (Kriskras DV) and Christian Kukuk (Mumbai) completed the top five.
