Also at the Sunshine Tour, a horse was reportedly quarantined with symptoms of rhino. The horse was tested for rhino and that test was negative. Yet the veterinarian on site fears that it is still a positive rhino case. The organization itself asks to remain calm. The competition runs until Sunday but several riders want to go home already. It is therefore very difficult to leave the competition area.
The organization would have announced that the tour on Sunday ends because too many riders have canceled for the rest of the tour. Riders on the spot speak of great chaos and panic and leave without the passports of their horses or health papers. Several stories are currently circulating on the concourse and no one knows exactly what is going on.
