The top stallion Berlin (by Cassini I) passed away at the age of 26. The stallion jumped at the highest level under the saddle of Gerco Schröder and died of old age this afternoon. The stallion not only jumped at the highest level himself, he also a very promising offspring in the sport as a breeding stallion.
Gerco Schröder took his place in the saddle when the stallion was 11 years old. Berlin jumped with him to gold in the WEG in Aachen in 2006 and to European Championship gold in Manheim in 2007.
