Victor Bettendorf and Mr. Tac best in CSI5*W 1.55m Gothenburg Trophy

In the 1.55m Gothenburg Trophy, Victor Bettendorf was the one to keep an eye on. With Mr. Tac he was the first to go in the Jump-off and put himself immediately on top of the list. He didn't have to let go of that position and took home the win.

In the Gothenburg Trophy over thirty combinations came to the start. The technically built course with obstacles at 1.55m height did not seem to be an easy task as many riders made mistakes. Only six riders were able to complete their first round successfully.

Victor Bettendorf was the first to appear in the jump-off. In the saddle of Mr. Tac (by Non Stop), the Luxembourger immediately set the bar high and went clear. They set the time to beat at 37.52. Second in the arena came Rolf-Göran Bengtsson on Zuccero (by VDL Zirocco Blue). They left the wood untouched in a time of 39.55 and took second place for now.

Marc Dilasser came in on E2k Abricot Ennemmelle (by Quaprice Bois Margot). The Frenchman came in between the two earlier combinations and rode clear across the finish line in 38.30. Then it was Thibeau Spits' turn. With Foncetti vd Heffinck (by For Pleasure) he set off through the 1.55m high course. And with success as the duo went flawlessly over the jumps and crossed the finish line clear in 42.77.

Julien Anquetin withdrew his Gravity of Greenhill (by Nabab de Reve) from the competition. Robert Whitaker was the last to compete. On Evert (by Amadeus) the Brit was the only one to have a fault in the jump-off and finished fifth.
