Maurice Tebbel says goodbye to Don Diarado

Maurice Tebbel says goodbye to Don Diarado

German rider Maurice Tebbel and his top horse Don Diarado part ways. Tebbel announced the sale himself on social media.

The 12-year-old son of Diarado and Lady Lancer (Lord Lancer) was very successful under Maurice Tebbel at 1.70m level.

Thank you Doni, for everything!

After 10 years together, Don Diarado left our stable today. The new rider of the owner family MΓΌter will now take over Doni. For us this was an unexpected and very difficult farewell.

Since we discovered him at the licensing as a 2-year-old, we have been on the same path from our first novice class show jumping competition to the Olympic Games. Already at the age of 9 we won the GCL leg in Hamburg as well as the Team Bronze Medal at the World Championships in Tryon. Last year he again developed enormously and jumped consistently abnormal rounds. In 24 of 29 rounds this season alone he remained without a jumping fault. Victory in the GP in Hagen, Opglabbeek and the Nations Cup in Sopot, 2nd place in the 4* GP in Mannheim & the Nations Cup in St. Gallen, 3rd place in the 5* GP of the GCT in Samorin, best German team result at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and many other top 10 placings at 5* level were achieved this year.

The goal for the coming season was the World Championships in Herning, but this and many other dreams are now a thing of the past.

It is always hard to lose your best horse, but Don Diarado is much more than that for us - an absolute world horse and family member. Take care Doni, we will miss you very much. πŸ˜”πŸ’”
