Dermott Lennon's Liscalgot passed away
Dermott Lennon has announced the passing away of his former championshorse, Liscalgot (Touchdown x Tula Rocket xx). On his Facebook the Irish show jumping rider writes; "Liscalgot passed away peacefully at my home place on Saturday. Shirley, as we called her, came to me when she was four years old. Over the years we won young horse classes, National classes and International classes including several GPs and Nationscups. In 2001 we won European Team Gold in Arnhem, Holland. In 2002 we won the Individual Goldmedal at the Worldchampionship in Jerez, Spain.

Shirley had many talents and qualities, but the one that always stroke me as quite exceptional was her intelligence. It is what made her stand out from the rest. To me and my family Shirley truly was the horse of a lifetime. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had such a special friend for over 20 years. Thank you, Shirley, for everything."

Liscalgot passed away aged 25 -springs old, she joined Lennon's stables when she was four. The mare has a total of eight offsprings, the most famous are Calgot Pleasure  (by For Pleasure), who jumped up to a 1.55m level with Dermott Lennon before being sold to  Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj. Also Calgot Hero is one of her high jumping offsprings. The horse currently jumps up to a 1.50m level under the saddle of Aoife Dooley.
